Topkapı Palace
The sultans’ palace on Sarayburnu: courtyards, the Imperial Council, the treasury and the terraces over the water. Dated entry, sold online on its own site.

A coastal fort of the 1890s on the Dardanelles, now a museum of the First World War and the Gallipoli campaign, with a culture park and a miniature Gallipoli.
The Anadolu Hamidiye Battery was built in the 1890s under Sultan Abdülhamid II, to a design by Asaf Pasha, to secure the Dardanelles. It has 10 bonnets, vaulted ammunition stores of rubble stone faced with cut stone, and nine gun platforms set in a half-circle between them. Some of the strongest guns of the time stood here. The battery was also the command post, which is why the third and eighth bonnets are wider and have two floors.
It was the only fortification where mostly German artillerymen trained before the great naval battle of the Dardanelles, and its commander was a German major. Since October 2018 it has been used as a museum under an arrangement with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The site covers more than ten hectares and includes the museum, a culture park and a Miniature Gallipoli.
In the bonnets, the First World War and the Gallipoli campaign unfold in order, together with the war's effects on economic and social life, told through reenactments, interactive displays and graphics. Highlights include a topographic map of the strait, letters from the front, medical equipment, a model of a steamship and personal belongings of Mustafa Kemal, along with his attack order.

According to the Ministry’s listing it opens at 09:00 and closes at 17:00 (last entry 16:15). Closed: Monday.
