Topkapı Palace
The sultans’ palace on Sarayburnu: courtyards, the Imperial Council, the treasury and the terraces over the water. Dated entry, sold online on its own site.

A former governor's mansion in Tekirdağ with Thracian tumulus finds, archaeology, ethnography and a terraced garden full of sarcophagi and ancient stonework.
Tekirdağ Museum opened to visitors on 28 December 1992 in a building that had served as the governor's residence. The province had first been given a small display hall in the 1960s, and the collection grew until the Ministry of Culture received this larger house for museum use. The collection now numbers over twenty thousand objects from Tekirdağ and its surroundings, from prehistory to recent times.
The Stone Artefacts Hall gathers stelae, votive stelae, statues and figurines from ancient sites across the province, among them Perinthos at Marmara Ereğlisi, Heraion Teichos at Karaevlialtı, Byzante and Apri. Here you will also find the reconstructed burial chamber of the Naip Tumulus, a Thracian princely tomb, with its silver vessels and jewellery. The Small Archaeological Finds Hall runs from prehistoric mother-goddess vessels through amphorae, kraters, fibulae, glass and stone jewellery, scent bottles and coins into the Byzantine period.
The Ethnography Hall shows glazed pottery, weapons, silver jewellery, local costume, bath sets and needlework, alongside Karacakılavuz weavings and an old Tekirdağ bedroom. A period Tekirdağ room recreates home life of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Outside, a five-terraced garden displays Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman architectural fragments, sarcophagi, tombstones and inscriptions, and a tea garden invites you to sit.
