Topkapı Palace
The sultans’ palace on Sarayburnu: courtyards, the Imperial Council, the treasury and the terraces over the water. Dated entry, sold online on its own site.

A young museum in a 1930s schoolhouse in Muş, with archaeology from the Chalcolithic to the Ottomans, an ethnography hall and a room on Sultan Alparslan and the Battle of Malazgirt.
The Muş Museum occupies the former Atatürk Primary School, a building begun in 1937 and finished the next year. It opened as a museum only in 2021, so it feels fresh and neatly arranged compared with many older provincial museums.
The archaeological halls run through the region's long past: the Chalcolithic, the Early, Middle and Late Bronze Age, the Early Iron Age, Urartu in the Middle Iron Age, then Hellenistic, Roman, Eastern Roman, Seljuk and Ottoman times. The objects arrived through excavations, purchases, confiscations and donations.
The ethnography hall is a display of Ottoman-era personal and household objects, including necklaces, belts and buckles, bracelets, healing bowls, vases, candlesticks, samovars, coffee grinders, swords, daggers and pistols. A separate hall is devoted to Sultan Alparslan and the Battle of Malazgirt, with information panels and images, and there is a children's education area for younger visitors.
